Are You Looking For A Lightweight Baby Stroller

A lightweight baby stroller can be a parent’s best friend.Especially when you are out shopping or on vacation, but choosing the wrong baby stroller could spell trouble and inconvenience. How can you pick the right stroller from all the choices available in stores and on the net?Good question! Strollers are available that match just about any lifestyle you may have.So you need to think about how you want to use the stroller and then at those that best fit you and your child.

Lightweight baby strollers by definition would of course be ones that are lighter in weight than a full sized stroller. They should also be able to be folded into a more compact shape for easy transport and storage. This gives a very wide interpretation.

At the low end of the spectrum, you have the economy class of stroller that can cost as little as twenty to fourty dollars. These tend to look like two umbrella handles with seating material in between. Not much pizazz certainly and in a pinch will get the job done. But as far as comfort for your baby and convenience for you they fall far short of ideal.

Higher up the line would be mid range strollers that cost about fifty to two hundred dollars. In this price range you start to get more features.Things like sun screens, reclining seats so your baby can lay back to sleep, better buckle restraint systems and perhaps a small storage area for a diaper bag.

Above that are models in the three hundred and up price range where you can get some really luxurious lightweight baby strollers.

Some of the creature comforts that are included on these models are bottle holders for baby and cup holders for mom.A toy tray to hold those all important toys.A parent tray to hold those all important things like cell phones, car keys and snacks.

While all strollers have brakes of some sort to keep them from rolling away, high end lightweight baby strollers will generally have better brakes and usually on both back wheels instead of just one.

Removable washable padding for the seat is thicker on better units. Most inexpensive ones have the minimum amount of padding and that is just vinyl  covered.

The nicer strollers also have rain covers, larger storage areas, adjustable and or reversible handles for taller moms and dads.

Some higher priced models have the option to allow you to add a second seat if you have another child.Which is a really nice feature and will let you get more usage from your stroller.

If you are a jogger or just like to take an occasional offroad jaunt, there are some more expensive strollers designed with that in mind. These have better wheels and even some suspension that you aren’t going to find on less expensive ones.

It is true with lightweight baby strollers just as it is with everything, you get what you pay for.You can spend as little twenty dollars and get a stroller that will do the job,but will most likely not be very satisfying.Spend a bit more and get some pretty nice features as well as more comfort for your baby.Or go all,out and get a top of the line model with all the bells and whistles.

The choice as they say is totally up to you.Your budget and tastes will have to be the determining factors, but if you would like my opinion, get the best that you can afford. There is nothing more miserable than traveling around pushing a stroller that is cumbersome for you and uncomfortable for your baby.
